Dave Homer is an illustrator, Creative Director and author currently based in Sydney Australia. With a career spanning over 20 years as a creative in the music industry, Dave has crafted album covers and artwork for some of the biggest names in music. He has won the ARIA Award for Best Cover Art (Australia’s Grammy equivalent) a record 4 times and has been nominated a further 8 times. His work extended internationally during his tenure in New York City, where he garnered accolades such as the prestigious AANDAS Award and the Neal Journalism Award for his distinctive and iconic illustrations. Recently, he has completed his first book titled 'Sonic Iconic', featuring illustrations inspired by his favourite albums accompanied by personal narratives detailing their profound impact on his life. 'Sonic Iconic' is scheduled for publication later this year.

Inspiration
Working on the 2025 Bon Scott birthday image has been a career highlight. Faced with the challenge of coming up with a piece worthy of one of the world's greatest rock stars, I focussed on capturing Bon’s legendary mischievous streak. I hope I did justice to the great man.
